Mildly amusing maybe, but LOL?! C'mon!

Do people really LOL when they say they LOL? I don't think so. I mean, how often do you see someone on the street flicking through his text messages and then busting out with a big audible guffaw? I think I've seen this maybe once or twice ever, and I'm on the lookout for this sort of thing.

I think what's going on is that people just generally smile to themselves (if that) and then write LOL in their reply to be nice. Basically, I think there's a whole lot of LOL fraud going on.
